Lanzho Lily (Lilium davidii var. unicolor)

A beautiful lily with bright red flowers and large delicious bulbs that are sweet and crunchy. Good in many dishes and excellent cooked like water chestnut in stir fries and soups. Widely used in traditional Chinese medicine affecting the heart and lung meridians. Disease and pest free it grows up to 18" tall and prefers part shade in hot climates. Hardy zones 5-9.
