Heartnut Walnut

These seedling trees are a type of Japanese walnut and produce delicious, mild and rich heart shaped nuts that usually crack out whole from the shell. Somewhat self fertile but will set heavier crops with a second Heartnut or Japanese walnut. Vigorous fast growing trees are very beautiful with their huge, lush compound leaves. Hardy zones 5-9.
