Indian Lake Chilean Wintergreen (Pernettya mucronata)

A very attractive small shrub produces abundant bright red berries that are sweet and delicious, good fresh and in desserts. A continuous bloom of pretty bell shaped white flowers overlaps with the showy fruit and dark green foliage making for a strikingly beautiful garden display. Self fertile plants grow 2 to 3 feet tall, prefer an acidic soil and part shade in hot climates. Hardy zones 6-9.
