Bounty Plum (Prunus nigra)

A variety of Prunus nigra selected in Canada for its large flavorable fruit and excellent cold hardiness. Showy white flowers turn into 1-1/2" diameter yellow or red fruit in summer that is excellent for fresh eating and jams. Can grow to15' tall with a single trunk tree form. Popular for planting as wildlife habitat and windbreaks, as well as in the edible orchard landscape. Tough and hardy tree suitable for zones 3-8.
