Japanese Flowering Quince (Chaenomeles spp.) Very ornamental hardy bushes are the first to bloom in early spring! These low growing spreading shrubs have large attractive flowers and deliciously fragrant, lemon like fruits that are good for jellies and syrups and are high in vitamin C. Flowering branches make attractive indoor bouquets. Plants are easy to grow, and disease and pest resistant. Grows 4-6 ft tall and is hardy from Zones 5-9. Need 2 for cross-pollination.
